The number of cylinders does not affect to the interval, but this is not the case with the type of gas (natural gas, landfill gas, sewerage gas, coal mine gas, syntgas\u2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u00abRS Motor\u00bb is able to perform any type of preventive maintenance on <strong>Jenbacher gas engines<\/strong>. Usually preventive maintenances are performed on-site, but in case of Overhaul or major Overhaul, this could be carried out both <strong>\u201con-site\u201d<\/strong> or in the <strong>workshop of \u00abRS Motor\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In this case we are going to explain typical operations that \u00abRS Motor\u00bb has to take into account when a <strong>Jenbacher engine<\/strong> which runs with natural gas needs <strong>PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For replacement of expendables\/consumables like oil <strong>filters<\/strong>, the interval should be about 1.000 \u2013 2.000 running hours. Then, the intermediate maintenances occur each 10.000 running hours.<\/li>\n<li>After that, in case of <strong>Jenbacher engines type 6<\/strong>, the Overhauls occur at 30K and\/or 60K running hours. In this case, <strong>renew of pistons<\/strong>,<strong> main bearings<\/strong>, <strong>cylinder liners<\/strong>\u2026 is necessary. These <strong>Overhauls<\/strong> can be performed \u201con-site\u201d or in \u00abRS Motor\u00bb.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Apart of preventive or scheduled maintenances, sometimes the engine has unexpected failures. When this happens, \u00abRS Motor\u00bb goes to the customer\u2019s power plant in order to make some inspections for determining the scope of damage. Then the engine is repair taking into account its history, the running hours, etc. This situation is usually called as <strong>CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE<\/strong>.
