On previous weeks, we showed you the complete process to carry out engine Overhauls on DEUTZ-MWM gas engines TCG2016V08C, TCG2016V12C and MWM TCG2016V16C (also called CAT CG132-8, CAT CG132-12 and CAT CG132-16).<\/p>\n

This week, we show you another complete engine Overhaul<\/a> (maintenance R3), this time on a gas engine Guascor SFGLD-240 from one of our current customers.<\/p>\n

The major Overhaul\u00a0 (maintenance R3) on gas engines GUASCOR SFGLD-240 is performed each 50.400 running hours if they are for biogas (landfill gas, sewerage gas\u2026) applications.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Engine maintenance service<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n

As in other engine brands (for example in case of RS Motor DEUTZ-MWM (CAT) or Jenbacher), on gas engines GUASCOR SFGLD-240 the maintenance R3 is the bigger preventive maintenance of the engine, on which all its main wear parts are changed:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Replacement of lubricating oil filters.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Renewal of spark plugs.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Renewal of ignition cables and ignition coils.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Standard refurbishment of the turbocharger Mitsubishi (or renewal if necessary).<\/p>\n

–\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Check the engine mounting.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Check starter pinion and gear rim on the flywheel.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Recondition of all cylinder heads (in this case 8 cylinder heads). All valve seats, valve springs, valves\u2026 are renewed.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ultrasonic cleaning machine of the intercooler.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Replace the cylinder liners.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Check valves and engine regulating devices.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Replacement of valve tappets.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Replacement of thermostats.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Replace connecting rod bearings.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Replacement of pistons (complete).<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Visually check of camshaft.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Replace the camshaft bushings.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Renewal of the small end bushings and the replacement of the connecting rod bolts in case the connecting rods are within tolerances and parallelism.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Renew crankshaft sealing rings.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Measure the crankshaft and clean it.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Replacement of air filters (primary filter and security filter).<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Replacement of main oil pump.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Refurbishment of oil cooler with replacement of internal sealing elements.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Final hydraulic test.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Primer and painting.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Anti-humidity packaging for subsequent shipment to the customer’s plant<\/p>\n

As you can see, the Overhaul of gas engines GUASCOR SFGLD-240 is similar than the Overhaul of gas engines DEUTZ-MWM (CAT) or Jenbacher.
