Today, we share with you the latest work carried out in our workshop, which involves the overhaul of a CAT CG 132-16 engine, also known as the DEUTZ-MWM<\/a> TCG 2016V16 engine. This engine, from the Caterpillar CG132B family, can be powered by natural gas or biogas<\/strong> and generates a power output of 800kW.<\/p>\n

OVERHAUL OF DEUTZ-MWM CAT ENGINES WITH GENUINE AND\/OR ORIGINAL SPARE PARTS<\/h2>\n

\"SpareAt RS Motor, we specialize in the maintenance of cogeneration<\/strong> engines, biogas engines, and marine engines from manufacturers such as Deutz MWM (CAT), Jenbacher, and Guascor. Our team of technicians possesses extensive experience in engine repairs.<\/p>\n

It is worth highlighting that all the replacement parts used are genuine<\/strong> spare parts for Deutz-MWM<\/a> and\/or original OEM components. This ensures the quality of the assembly and guarantees the proper operation of the unit, thereby reducing the risk of unexpected breakdowns that could affect engine performance.<\/p>\n

DEUTZ-MWM CAT ENGINES OVERHAUL PROCESS<\/h2>\n

The E70 maintenance overhaul, or maintenance step E70 of these Deutz-MWM, has been carried out in our facilities due to the scope of the work, which we detail below:<\/p>\n

\u2022 The process begins with the complete disassembly of the engine until only the block is exposed.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The engine block undergoes thorough cleaning using specialized methods to remove contaminants and deposits. This step prepares the block for inspection.<\/p>\n

\u2022 A meticulous inspection<\/strong> of both the upper and lower parts of the engine block is conducted to verify that all dimensions and tolerances meet the standard requirements of the engine manufacturer.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Engine mounting components are examined.<\/p>\n

\"Spare\u2022 Visual inspection of the exhaust system is performed after dismantling it. A hydraulic test is conducted to detect possible leaks.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The starter pinion and the flywheel gear ring are inspected for wear and damage.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The proper functioning of all engine accessories and control units fitting is verified.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Vibration dampers<\/strong>, hoses, and flexible lines are inspected, and damaged isolators are replaced.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Big end rod bearings are replaced to ensure optimal engine performance.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Complete piston assemblies are replaced with new ones.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Cylinder liners are replaced.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Flexible lubricating oil lines of the pre-lubrication system are replaced.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The electrical wiring, cable set plug, and sensor system are thoroughly checked for connectivity and proper operation.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The crankshaft is meticulously examined.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Crankshaft<\/strong> sealing rings are replaced on both the drive side and the free side.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Connecting rods are reconditioned, and new small end bearings and bolts are installed. The body is checked for dimensional tolerances.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Main bearings are replaced.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Camshaft bearings are replaced.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Valve tappets are replaced.<\/p>\n

\"Deutz-Mwm\"\u2022 Gear drive is inspected and cleaned.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Camshaft dimensions and tolerances are thoroughly checked.<\/p>\n

\u2022 An actuator<\/strong> inspection is performed.<\/p>\n

\u2022 At least three exhaust gas compensators are replaced.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The gas-air mixer is checked and cleaned, and driving bands are replaced.<\/p>\n

\u2022 The main oil pump is refurbished.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Cooling system rubber compensators are renewed.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Oil filters and air filters are replaced.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Cylinder Head<\/strong> Refurbishment: The process of refurbishing all cylinder heads includes complete disassembly, cleaning, crack testing, installation of new valve guides, installation of necessary O-rings and gaskets, installation of new seats and valves, final hydraulic testing, priming, and painting.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Standard Turbocharger Maintenance: The turbocharger is disassembled, cleaned, its condition is checked, the turbine housing is sandblasted, the shaft is dynamic tested, balanced, and adjustments are performed as needed, it is refurbished with repair kits 1, 2, and 3, clearances are measured, and it is assembled.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Standard Alternator<\/strong> Inspection including disassembly, bearing replacement, cleaning, measurement, diode checks, visual inspections, and reassembly are performed to ensure the alternator’s optimal performance.<\/p>\n
