Cylinder head reconditioning<\/strong> is one of the most frequent jobs in our workshop: every week, cylinder heads from MWM (Deutz), Jenbacher and Guascor cogeneration engines pass through our benches. In this article we show the complete process with a real case: the 16 cylinder heads of an MWM TCG 2016 V16<\/strong> engine, fully reconditioned to be installed back into the owner\u2019s engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to reconditioning the customer\u2019s own heads, we keep a large stock of reconditioned cylinder heads for the main models, available for supply or exchange when the shutdown cannot wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why the cylinder head is a critical component<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The cylinder head seals the cylinder, houses the valves and regulates the intake and exhaust of gases in synchronisation with the engine cycle. In cogeneration and gas engines, which run at high loads for thousands of hours, keeping the heads in condition has direct consequences:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
