Recently, RS Motor has completed the repair and engine overhaul of a Jenbacher Series 3 engine, specifically a J316GS. The work carried out on this engine has been a customized overhaul, according to the specifications and requests of our client, a comprehensive review has been carried out for the repair of this engine according to RS Motor’s quality standards.
COMFORTABLE AND FAST ENGINE OVERHAUL OF COGENERATION ENGINES
On this occasion, the complete generator set has been sent by the client to the RS Motor facilities. Once the generator set arrives at our facilities, a series of necessary repair and maintenance tasks are carried out to ensure its optimal operation. ENGINE OVERHAUL PROCESS OF COGENERATION ENGINE
After disassembly, a meticulous inspection of all engine components is carried out. The main repairs, replacements, or refurbishments that were performed include:
• Replacement of both radial and axial main bearings
• Replacement of crankshaft seals
• Replacement of pistons and liners
• Refurbishment of connecting rods, dimensional analysis, and replacement of small end and big end bearings and screws
• Replacement of cylinder heads with refurbished exchange cylinder heads
• Verification of the condition of the engine block and crankshaft
• Verification of the condition of the camshaft
• Replacement of valve tappets
• Refurbishment of the turbocharger (customer’s responsibility)
• Standard inspection of the generator/alternator (customer’s responsibility)
• Refurbishment of the intercooler
• Refurbishment of the oil cooler
• Replacement of spark plugs, ignition coils, and ignition cables
• Replacement of oil and air filters
• Replacement of the torsional vibration damper
• Verification and testing of the starter/motor
• Priming and complete painting.
GENUINE AND/OR ORIGINAL SPARE PARTS FOR THE ENGINE OVERHAUL OF COGENERATION ENGINES
It is worth noting that all the spare parts used for the overhaul of Jenbacher engines are genuine and/or original OEM Jenbacher replacements supplied by RS Motor, ensuring the quality of the assembly and guaranteeing the proper functioning of the generator set, thereby reducing the risk of unforeseen breakdowns that may affect the plant’s performance.
